EXOCAUSES

The term “exocause” comes from exo, Greek, which means: “external, outside, outer” and cause, Latin, meaning: “an action that produces or creates something”. Astronica (a more empirical and daring form of Chronobiology) uses the word to refer to any astrophysical or astronomical event whose effect influences Earth’s environment at a given moment.

An astrophysical event can be, for example, the action of the Solar Wind (originator of Geomagnetic Storms and Polar Auroras), the position of the Moon regarding a particular geographical location (which produces a gravitational tidal effect on that place), Cosmic Rays (a radiation that affects crew and passengers of commercial flights), Ions, and natural ELF Waves.

An exocause’s influence can have an effect on elements of the Earth’s crust and aquatic ambience, on the behavior of plant life and wildlife, on farm animals and domestic pets, as well as on a human being’s corporeal and psychic functions.

The effect of an exocause is constant, inevitable, and unstoppable, and is generally not noticed by our physical senses or our conscious awareness. However, it’s fully perceived and used by the molecular processes and the sub/supra-conscious activities of our integral being.

The presence and activity of exocauses at our geographic location is permanent, but not invariable. There are cyclical as well as sporadic exocauses. As an example of the cyclical ones, we have the Circadian cycles (whose effect changes as the day goes by, but is very similar from one day to another), the Circalunar sequence (its action varies according to the phase of the Moon), the Circanual round (whose influence changes according to the position of the Earth along its orbit, a cycle that takes a full year to complete), the Circadecadal cycle (such as the Sunspot Cycle), etc.

Among the occasional exocauses, that is, those that don’t follow a regular pattern, we have CMEs (solar Coronal Mass Ejections), solar Coronal Holes, and Fulgurations. These events can spark Geomagnetic Storms and produce other incidents here on Earth.

It should be noted that whatever influences the atomic and molecular processes of our constitution triggers changes in the activity of the cells that make up the many organs of our body. This, in turn, modifies the end result of what these organ do or produce. For example, some exocauses can make our Endocrine System increase (or reduce) the production of a variety of hormones, or they may modify the action and efficiency of our Immune System or that of our Metabolism, etc. Keep in mind that if the type and amount of hormones present in our body varies, our mood, physical reactions and endurance, reasoning powers, memory quality, etc., will also be altered.

All of which will change, to a greater or lesser degree, our outlook on life, how we attend to our daily activities, as well as our way of planning future affairs.

Chronobiology (2017 Physiology Nobel Prize) and Astronica, each in its own way, detects, monitors, and interprets the effects produced by the assortment of exocauses that reach a given geographic location at a certain moment, to then recommend their good usage. This is exactly what the different apps of the Astronica website were designed to do.
